Casual Stocktaker. Starting hourly rate: £8.91. Bonus scheme applies from day 1 with bonus hourly rates up to £10.22.
Orridge is one of the leading stocktaking providers to Retail and Pharmacy. Stocktaking means counting stock, which for us happens in a retail or pharmacy location. Our stocktake teams do this by scanning the barcodes of each product using Orridge equipment and our unique stocktaking system. In a nutshell, this is stocktaking.
We have vacancies for Stocktakers in our Southwest region. Our stock takers typically work as part of a team, supported by a Stocktake Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Count stock in retail or pharmacy locations by scanning barcodes using Orridge equipment and our stocktaking system.
- Work as part of a team, supported by a Stocktake Supervisor.
- Deliver the stocktake service productively by following clear instructions and procedures.
- Enthusiasm and a good work ethic.
- Attention to detail – the accuracy of our stocktakes is our priority.
- The ability to follow clear instructions and procedures.
- The drive to operate efficiently – we have to deliver the stocktake service productively.
- Flexibility, with availability to work at least 3 days per week. Weekend work also available.
- Willingness to travel (within an Orridge region), often to a different location each day.
- Own transport is an advantage, but not essential.
- No prior stock taker experience is required, as full training will be provided.
- Minimum 4 hours pay per day.

This is a casual contract. Full, paid training will be provided. Orridge operates 7 days per week. The role often requires afternoon / evening work and can require early morning work – for this reason applicants must be at least 18 years of age. A stock taker spends a lot of time on their feet and some use of ladders is involved.
