Overview
Product Manager role for a SOC Analyst or SOC Specialist wishing to move into product management. Hybrid working – two days in-office in Horsham, West Sussex and three days remote. Salary £50k to £55k plus benefits. A market-leading Digital Security Software provider with offices in UK, USA and Africa is looking for a SOC Specialist to join their UK team as they embark on the development of new products for the SOC sector.
The role involves working with existing Product Managers and the tech team to build a new SOC product for the global customer base. The SOC knowledge is key, and the company will train on client skills and product management skills for this role. The position offers growth potential and an opportunity to shape the company’s new SOC products for the future.
responsibilities
- Gather customer requirements from Sales, Marketing, and Training teams, and define the product roadmaps with engineering.
- Prioritize customer requirements to create winning products and define a clear roadmap aligned with engineering goals.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate innovative ideas to grow market share and improve customer experience.
- Create buy-in for the product vision within internal engineering and business teams and support sales and marketing with customers and key external partners.
- Support Sales and Marketing in developing product pricing and positioning strategies.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
- Support product launches working with the Sales and Marketing team.
- Help sales and marketing evaluate promotional plans to ensure alignment with product line strategy and effective messaging.
- Act as a software product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
- Proven work experience in Security Operations Centres (SOC).
- Some technical leadership or project management experience would be useful but is not essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or familiarity with developing Digital Security & SOC software is beneficial.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis – two days per week in Horsham, West Sussex and three days remote. The role has strong growth potential and the opportunity to be an important voice in shaping the company's development processes.
