Job Title: Assistant Sales Manager
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Salary: Up to £38,000 OTE
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:45am – 5:30pm
1 in 2 Saturdays: 9:00am – 1:00pm
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Assistant Sales Manager to join a well-established and highly respected estate agency branch in Horsham. This is a key role within the sales team, ideal for someone who is ambitious, career-driven, and looking to take the next step in residential estate agency.
You will play an integral part in driving sales performance, winning new instructions, supporting team management, and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
The RoleAs Assistant Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving the growth of new sales business and income for the branch
- Carrying out residential property appraisals and securing instructions
- Identifying additional business opportunities and ensuring referrals to other departments where appropriate
- Delivering a consistently high standard of customer care
- Registering, qualifying, and managing applicants
- Arranging and conducting property viewings
- Maintaining detailed and up-to-date knowledge of available properties
- Ensuring full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Implementing effective canvassing, marketing, and prospecting strategies
- Developing and strengthening the branch’s core sales business
- Supporting the Branch Manager with day-to-day team management and performance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a Senior Sales Negotiator or similar role
- A proven track record of winning new business and generating instructions
- Strong listing and valuation experience
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- A high level of customer service with a professional and personable approach
- Confident communication skills and a positive telephone manner
- Tenacity, resilience, and strong self-motivation
- The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels
