Vehicle Technician

Basic Salary 32,282 OTE up to 48,000 Manufacturer Training Career Progression

A well-established and highly respected automotive group in the South of England is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its modern workshop operation due to continued growth.

The Role

Reporting into the Workshop Controller and Aftersales Management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs and servicing while maintaining manufacturer and site standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out servicing and repairs to the highest standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Completing electronic job cards, PDI documentation, service reports, and health checks
  • Producing high-quality vehicle health check videos
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety requirements
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet quality and productivity targets
  • Keeping up to date with the latest vehicle technologies, including Hybrid and EV

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • NVQ / IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
  • A professional approach with attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and quality-driven

Desirable:

  • Main dealer or manufacturer-approved workshop experience
  • Previous manufacturer training or certifications
