Reed Crawley are working with a well-established firm who are looking to add a Semi-Senior Accountant on to their growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in practice to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, audit, and advisory services.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare statutory company accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses.
• Prepare and submit corporation tax returns.
• Handle the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts.
• Conduct bookkeeping duties using various cloud-based accounting software including Xero, Quick Books, and Sage.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and obtain required information.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax requirements.
• Experience in preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Knowledge of CCH Accounts Production is preferred, but not essential.
• Practical experience with Xero, Quick Books, and Sage is preferred.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients.
• AAT qualified or part-qualified is preferred but not essential, depending on experience.
