Site Engineer

Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to support bridge and footbridge works with a Tier 1 contractor in Lincolnshire. The project is a delivery-focused scheme involving structural concrete, bridge decks, abutments, and associated civil works.

This role would suit an engineer with a strong background in bridges or footbridge structures who is comfortable working closely with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to specification.

As Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting out and overseeing bridge and footbridge works, including abutments, piers, decks, and RC elements

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements

• Carrying out QA inspections and maintaining accurate site and ITP records

• Supporting the management of subcontractors and site operatives

• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

• Assisting with as-built records, surveys, and handover documentation

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer on bridges, footbridges, or structural civil engineering projects

• Hands-on experience with reinforced concrete, formwork, and structural elements

• A good understanding of bridge-related specifications and quality standards

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on live construction sites

• A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
