Rate: £350-£400 per day (inside IR35)

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of highways works. You will play a key role in setting out, quality assurance, and day-to-day technical support across highways improvement and maintenance schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for highways works including drainage, kerbing, surfacing, and associated infrastructure
Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications
Ensuring works are delivered in line with design, programme, and quality standards
Managing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and the client team
Supporting health & safety compliance and site documentation
Conducting site surveys and providing technical input to the delivery team

Requirements:

HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
Valid CSCS card
Proven experience working on highways projects
Strong setting out and QA experience
SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a delivery team
