This is not a traditional accounts manager position. As a Client Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio while working closely with your Pod team to deliver proactive advice and ongoing support throughout the financial year, not just at year‑end.
You will build strong client relationships, oversee service delivery and help clients improve and grow their businesses.

- Manage a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and individuals
- Oversee all aspects of client service delivery including year‑end accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and tax compliance
- Prepare statutory accounts and tax returns
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Review work completed by your Pod team and resolve queries
- Support, train and develop junior team members
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services based on client needs
- Minimum AAT qualified
- Strong general practice experience, including owner‑managed businesses
- Good knowledge of taxation and statutory accounts preparation
- Experience using cloud‑based accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, Quick Books)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities
- Team‑oriented with the ability to build lasting professional relationships
