you will join a diverse and highly skilled PMO team within Business Operations, working in close partnership with our Technical Project Leads (TPLs). Together, you will ensure seamless execution throughout the full project lifecycle — from idea to production — in a fast‑growing, innovative, and quality‑driven environment. End-to-end responsibility for project planning, coordination, execution, and delivery — from concept and design through prototyping, testing, and production.
Drive cross‑functional collaborationCoordinate teams across design, mastering, engineering, testing, manufacturing, QA, and supply chain to ensure alignment, progress, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure strong project governanceDevelop and maintain project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and timelines while ensuring adherence to the PDP framework and internal quality protocols. Facilitate milestone reviews and drive documentation completeness.
Engage directly with customersAct as primary customer interface for project matters—understanding customer needs, setting expectations, communicating risks, and ensuring satisfaction throughout delivery.
Contribute to business developmentSupport feasibility studies, project scoping, and early customer engagement to shape new opportunities. Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance PMO practices, and improve operational efficiency.
Skills, experiences and qualifications we are looking for- MSc in engineering, preferably with focus on optics
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing product development projects, ideally in optics, semiconductors, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of project management frameworks (PDP or similar) and proficiency with tools such as MS Project or Jira.
- Experience with risk management, financial oversight, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Ability to navigate complex, dynamic environments with strong problem‑solving and prioritization skills.
- It is an advantage if you have knowledge of optical design principles, nanoscale fabrication, relevant ISO standards and cleanroom manufacturing workflows.
Travel between NILT sites and to customers (up to 20%) are to be expected.
