** What you’ll achieve
** As a Software Senior Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.
** You will:
*** Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments
* Prepare, review, and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems
* Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems
* Develop core software primarily using C/C++ and Python

** Essential Requirements
*** 12+ years of extensive experience with high-performing software quality teams; knowledge of software development methods, design, and implementation
* Proficiency with programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities; and ability to learn new tools and topics if needed
* Ability to dive into complex designs and codebase, debug and improve complicated, scalable code, and independently design, implement, and debug extensions and features for an existing product
* Fluent English and ability to communicate with global teams### ###
** Desirable Requirements
*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field
** Compensation
* * Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $208,250 to $269,500.
