Overview

Registered Nurse, Full-Time (Dayshift & Night shift) – 3 Month Agreement with Guaranteed Pay of $55/hour at Cumberland Hall Hospital, a 97-bed licensed acute psychiatric hospital in Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features units for youth, adults and active-duty military, offering inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 1500 patients receive care each year.

As a Registered Nurse, you will lead and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes, access and address the unique needs of patients around the clock, implement individualized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness. • Assesses and documents initial data collection on patient admissions and subsequent reassessment at least once per shift according to policy and procedure.
• Documents and communicates the effectiveness of nursing interventions and the patient’s response in the medical record.
• Communicates change of shift, accurate reports (verbal or written) of patients’ behavior, status, and issues requiring follow up.
• Uses effective communication to orient patients to the program while explaining program/facility philosophy, policies and procedures to patients, families, and other staff.
• Utilizes proper procedures in the application of special treatment procedures (restraint and seclusion) according to hospital policy and procedure and State of Kentucky Mental Health Laws.

Job Requirements:

• Current license to practice nursing in Kentucky or eligible to receive or renew.
• Preferred experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
