Lantern Government Solutions is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a full-time opportunity in Hopkinsville, KY at the Western State Hospital. Apply your nursing skills and knowledge to impact a vulnerable population and make a difference.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, LPNs will provide direct patient care, medication administration, and support daily activities in a dynamic behavioral health environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Deliver direct patient care and administer medications as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with the management of volatile or combative patient behaviors.
• Support patient admissions, discharges, and education initiatives.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and participate in therapeutic activities.
• Supervise Resident Aides and Ward Clerks as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all nursing practices and procedures in accordance with KRS Chapter 314.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and visitors.

Work Schedule:

Available shifts include:

• 6:45p-7:15a (12-hour shifts) 3 times per week with every other weekend.

• Graduate of a Kentucky State-approved nursing program (new graduates welcome).
• Current, unrestricted LPN license in Kentucky or Compact State.
• Current CPR certification from an in-person course (online certifications are not accepted).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or strong interest in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing is a plus.
• Strong observational skills and ability to respond to crisis situations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Market competitive pay $28 - $30 / hour depending on experience plus shift differential for weekend shifts
