Overview
Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday, 6:30pm to 3:15am
Pay: $18.00/hr + $1.50 shift premium with a pay raise every six months up to 48 months
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for meeting plant targets for safety, quality, efficiency and cost reduction by following standardized work, carrying out Kaizen, participating in QC Circles, carrying out 5S, and other activities as assigned.
- Work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, training and discipline to follow company rules and standards.
- Follow standardized work procedures and work sequence for each process without fail.
- Work with team to improve standardized processes/methods, identify wastes, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process/methods.
- Directly responsible for performance of assigned work area, meeting Cycle Time as established in Standard Work.
- Work in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.
- Complete all working documentation, records and reports on time and accurately.
- Understand all company policies and procedures as applies to your role and responsibilities in the company.
- Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process. Follow troubleshooting rules and STOP. CALL.WAIT standard. Be able to convey sequence of events leading to breakdowns and assist other personnel to understand abnormalities that occur.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience:
years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Focus on employee relations centered on respect, trust and teamwork.
- Demonstrate a personality that works in cooperation with other team members towards building a sense of company teamwork and collaboration across teams, departments, and shifts.
- Identify and make suggestions for continuous process improvements (Kaizen).
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively and work respectfully with others in a team setting.
- Must have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English.
- Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication are required.

Work Environment- Plant:
Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
- Capable of standing 100% of the time and must be able to bend, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds. Frequently use hands to grip tools and objects, stretch and reach. May kneel, work from heights and crouch. Frequently lift five to fifteen pounds and regularly lift twenty to thirty pounds; occasionally lift and/or move over thirty pounds with assistance of a mechanical device or another team member.
Must be able to talk, see and hear.
