Description
The Parts Coordinator shall lead and assist in parts departments to grow overall revenue and gross margins while managing its assets to maximize return on assets. This person ensures that our parts departments operate efficiently and provide high-quality service to both internal and external customers. The Parts Coordinator shall develop strategies to optimize inventory and other assets, streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive revenue and margin growth.
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1)
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to achieve our objectives.
- Collaborate with Leadership to establish budgets, sales goals and other metrics for the parts department.
- Develop opportunities for parts growth with CNH, Kubota, Buyers Advantage and other products.
- Identify opportunities for growth through new concepts and platforms, including potential e-commerce platforms.
- Analyze market trends and customer demand to grow the business.
2)
- Oversee the procurement, stocking and distribution of parts, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking.
- Fine tune pricing and stocking criteria to improve fill and turnover.
- Help implement inventory control systems improving turn rates and minimizing obsolescence.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards for stocking levels, warranty parts and returns.
3)
- Determine level of centralization for purchasing to maximize sales and returns across the company.
- Develop a strategy to capitalize on this opportunity.
- Implement and monitor success of the strategy.
4)
- Work with and guide our marketing department to develop successful campaigns to grow the parts department.
- Collaborate with marketing on ideas to drive parts sales for the company.
5)
- Ensure we maximize manufacturer programs to increase margin and sales by location.
- Keep the company compliant with OEM standards and programming. Stay abreast of any proposed or actual changes to same and communicate those to all affected parties including executive management.
- Develop and nurture relationships with parts providers and continue to drive collaboration to improve sales.
6)
- Help train new parts managers and store managers on parts systems and processes.
- Guide location managers on vital metrics involving the parts department.
- Assist in hiring key location personnel in the company’s parts departments.
- Schedule and conduct regular meetings to educate, inform and seek input about our overall parts business.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must office out of Hopkinsville, KY or Poseyville, IN.
- Expect 25%-50% of time to travel to H&R locations.
- Ten years’ minimum parts department management experience
- Ability to speak in front of others.
- Excellent computer skills with fluency in O365 products and other web interfaces.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Must possess moderate mechanical knowledge.
- Capable of working fast and under a deadline.
- Ability to communicate concisely and actively listen.
- Requires excellent problem-solving skills.
- Have a willingness to learn and help others.
- Able to practice patience and understanding in stressful situations.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Ability to move around the dealership building and grounds without assistance.
