Cognito Systems is looking for dedicated certified Athletic Trainers to join the U.S. Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program at Fort Campbell, TN/KY.
This is more than just an athletic training role; it’s an opportunity to be part of the Army’s largest human performance initiative. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help improve soldier readiness, including increasing Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) pass rates, reducing injuries, and enhancing behavioral health. Launched in 2018, scaled in 2020, and implemented in 45 brigades with plans for full expansion.
Roleand Responsibilities
As an Athletic Trainer supporting the H2F initiative, you will:
- Collaborate with a diverse team including physical therapists, strength coaches, dietitians, cognitive experts, and occupational therapists.
- Provide prevention, injury management, and rehabilitation services for musculoskeletal injuries.
- Implement performance optimization strategies across physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual domains.
- Support unit leaders with evidence-based injury prevention and recovery strategies.
- Use data and tools from CIMT to track and improve performance outcomes.
- Help improve soldier performance, ACFT pass rates, and resilience.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Graduate from a CAATE-accredited program; passing BOC score; NPI number.
- Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, D.C., or U.S. territories.
- At least two years of relevant athletic training experience within the last three years, preferably with active populations.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and maintain current physical and immunizations.
- Work is on-site, fast-paced, requiring adaptability. Must lift up to 45 lbs, be able to stand for extended periods, and work outdoors with supplies.
