Summary
The Fit Future Youth Sport Coach will be supervised by the RAC Program Manager under the direction of the District Facilities Use Coordinator in conjunction with the Youth Programs Coordinator. This position is responsible for the effective implementation of team sports programming for Fit Future sports. Coaches will plan and execute team and player skill building processes and teach the basic rules and fundamental skills of the selected sport.
This position will also assist in end of season tournament operations. A core component of this program is connecting with youth in a positive way through sports and the goals will be framed through the lens of youth development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities- Help improve students' understanding and execution of fundamental skills for their chosen sport or fitness activity.
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with the students in the program.
- Create player evaluations to determine starting levels for new clients and track progress of existing clients
- Assist in program development
- Partner with Community Education team members and external community partners to promote programs
- Attend open house and Conferences & Events functions to build program visibility
- Basic understanding of the rules and mechanics of sport
- Ability to work a flexible Schedule
- Youth enrichment and/or youth development experience
- Coaching or playing experience in the selected sport
- High School playing experience
- High School Coaching Experience
10 days total: stipend position, paid by season - $500-$1,300.00
Seasons will last 6-8 weeks with 1-2 practices per week and will culminate in an end of season tournament with all teams involved. Practices will last 45-60 minutes with a curriculum developed by the program manager.
