Location Description
Hopkins, MN is home to our Michael Foods, Inc. corporate headquarters. Hopkins is located 7 miles west of Minneapolis, boasting natural surroundings in a suburban environment that also provides quick access to major travel ways and local restaurants that give our community a distinct character. Located in the Excelsior Crossing building where employees are provided with beautifully landscaped walking paths and water features creating an optimal environment for outdoor and walking meetings, along with the opportunity to take a relaxing walk or outdoor lunch before, within, or after your work day.
ResponsibilitiesThis role will cover our Western Region. Preferred candidates will reside in: CO, AZ, CA, OR, or WA
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary focus of this position is executing the Michael Foods value proposition and commercial vision statement through Sales Agencies and Food service Distribution. This position is responsible for driving sales execution, achieving profitable growth with our distribution partners, and performing desired market objectives with our sales agencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for current volume, planned growth and profitability goals in identified market.
- Create, execute and deliver on market volume plan and all related Go-to-Market initiatives.
- Educate and drive Sales Agency performance on MFI corporate selling platforms and all other mandated priorities.
- Drive category growth and market penetration through field execution of corporate and local distribution/wholesaler agreements.
- Manage all sales and service responsibilities for assigned retailers and commissaries including interface and coordination with R&D, Marketing, QA, Operations and Purchasing.
- Perform general management market duties defined as the following:
Monthly reporting, RFP requests, quarterly operator sales programming, Sales Agency, forecasting and other time sensitive requests. - Travel requirement – up to 50%.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in the convenience, retail or food service industry.
- Sales agency management experience required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Ability to interface with and manage the Sales Agency’s Enterprise Management role: includes driving accountability, delegation, speed to market, communications and managing performance to goal attainment.
- Strong business finance skills and decision-making ability.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Sales Discovery, Agency CRM Tool and Technomic Digital Resource.
- Highly motivated individual able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, anticipates situations, and takes appropriate action.

The pay range for this position is $99,119 - $154,626 per year.
