Sales Center Associate (Transportation)

Scherer Bros. Lumber Co is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Center Associate to join our team in Hopkins, MN. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting customers with their building material needs, from providing expert advice to processing orders.

• Customer Service:
  Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide guidance on product selection.
• Product Knowledge:
  Stay up-to-date on building materials and industry trends to offer informed recommendations.
• Order Processing:
  Efficiently process customer orders, including entering information into our computer system and coordinating with vendors and delivery teams.
• Estimating:
  Utilize blueprints to accurately calculate material quantities and provide cost estimates.
• Showroom Maintenance:
  Maintain a clean and organized showroom, ensuring products are well-displayed and information is up-to-date.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas.
• Safety:
  Prioritize safety by following guidelines and reporting any hazards or concerns.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience in the building materials industry or a related field
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
• A passion for helping customers and a positive attitude

  From $20.00 per hour (PLUS Guaranteed Commissions for the first 6 months.)
