• Lead testing and validation of large‑scale MSP network infrastructures built on TCP/IP, including VPN technologies such as IPsec, GRE, and Multicast.
• Design and execute test strategies for hybrid deployments, integrating on‑premises infrastructure with AWS cloud services.
• Validate complex cellular solutions involving hardware, firmware, operating systems, and IP networking.
• Own end‑to‑end solution quality, ensuring all components work together under real‑world conditions.
• Define comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and acceptance criteria aligned with product and customer requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain test systems including test automation frameworks, custom hardware test setups, network simulation, and traffic generation tools 난
• Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively improve testing methodologies.
• Automation & Tooling
• Develop and maintain test automation using Python and Bash, along with related scripting languages.
• Build tooling to validate performance, scalability, failover, resiliency, and long‑running stability.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Failure Analysis & Quality Advocacy
• Perform deep root‑cause analysis of complex failures across hardware, software, and network layers.
• Clearly document issues, reproduce defects, and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.
• Champion quality throughout the product lifecycle, advocating for design improvements and risk mitigation.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with software, firmware, hardware, Dev Ops, product management, and support teams.
• Translate customer requirements and field scenarios into actionable test cases.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other test and engineering team members.

• 10+ years of experience in test engineering, systems validation, or network solutions testing.
• Strong expertise/open-access in TCP/IP networking and large‑scale IP network architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with VPN Gaeilge, IPsec, GRE, and Multicast.
  
  Proven experience testing MSP‑grade or carrier‑class solutions.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and tooling.
• Experience with scalability, performance, and soak testing in production‑like environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex, multi‑layer system failures.
• Linux systems knowledge and experience with network test tools (traffic generators, packet capture, protocol analyzers). profiter
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of driving large test initiatives to completion.

• Background

• Familiarity with AWS networking services (VPC, VPN, Transit Gateway, EC2).
