The Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing Accra’s benefits department and ensuring the effective administration, compliance, and delivery of all employee benefit programs across the organization. This includes management of caregiver and administrative benefit processes, policies, and systems. The position ensures compliance with state laws, federal regulations, and all applicable benefit and leave related requirements. This role provides leadership in benefits strategy execution, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement of benefits processes.

The Benefits Manager partners closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate enrollment, reconciliations, reporting, and employee education.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with 5 years of comprehensive Benefits‑related experience or 8+ years of experience in Benefits. Professional Credentials (CEBS, SHRM, etc.) highly desired.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.) and regulatory compliance. Union and non‑union experience highly desired.
• Deep understanding of employee benefits programs (health, dental, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in conducting benefits benchmarking and providing strategic recommendations to enhance and maintain competitive benefit offerings.
• Proficiency with HRIS software in relation to processes under this position. Paylocity experience a plus.
• Previous experience with developing and implementing policies and procedures related to benefits in relation to local, state, and federal law requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.

• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality; handling and processing confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.

• Ability to quickly learn Accra’s key partnerships and infrastructure.
