Position: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)  in Hopkins, MN

Overview

A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available supporting early childhood and preschool caseloads within a K-12 school setting located in Hopkins, MN. This contract role offers approximately 20 hours per week, generally structured as four-hour days, designed to complement virtual SLPA services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language services to early childhood and preschool students
  • Implement therapy plans and activities in compliance with established protocols
  • Monitor and document student progress accurately and provide feedback to the supervising SLP
  • Collaborate effectively with virtual SLPAs and other educational staff to support student communication goals
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited SLPA program and relevant certification or licensure as required by the state of Minnesota
  • Experience working with early childhood or preschool populations in school or healthcare settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently within a hybrid model alongside virtual clinicians
  • Familiarity with school-based speech therapy procedures and reporting requirements
