Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the organization’s short- and long-term investment strategies to align with corporate objectives and financial goals
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and emerging opportunities to inform decision-making
- Prepare investment recommendations and present findings to senior leadership
- Manage RFP processes related to investment and portfolio partners as needed
- Portfolio Management
- Collaborate with and manage external portfolio managers
- Oversee asset allocation across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and other investments
- Ensure diversification and risk-adjusted returns consistent with investment policy
- Monitor existing investments and provide performance reports
- Recommend adjustments to optimize portfolio returns and mitigate risk
- Analysis & Due Diligence
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, valuation, and risk assessment for potential investments
- Lead due diligence on new opportunities, including private equity, real estate, and strategic partnerships
- Governance & Compliance
- Maintain adherence to regulatory standards and internal investment policies
- Prepare reports for executive leadership and board committees on portfolio performance and outlook
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor investment analysts and associates
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 10+ years of related experience beyond degree
- Preferred
- Strong relationship management of external portfolio managers
- Strong understanding of global markets, asset classes, and risk management principles
- Proven track record of delivering superior investment performance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with GAAP and STAT reporting for audited financials and regulatory filings
This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.
Compensation & BenefitsThe full salary grade for this position is $150,000 - $257,200. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $150,000 - $225,015. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
