We offer classes, camps, workshops, private events, and open studio experiences designed to foster connection, confidence, and joyful self-expression. Position OverviewThe Studio Manager is the operational and cultural heartbeat of the studio. This role blends leadership, organization, customer service, creativity, and business management. The Studio Manager ensures smooth daily operations, supports instructors, maintains a welcoming environment for families and artists, and helps grow the studio’s programs and community presence.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative, sometimes fast-paced environment and enjoys both behind-the-scenes systems and front-of-house relationship building. This job could be 20-30 hours a week depending on time of year. A salary can be negotiated based on experience.
Key Responsibilities Studio Operations- Oversee daily studio operations and ensure programs run smoothly
- Help manage studio schedule and studio set up
- Maintain inventory of art supplies and relay needs to be ordered
- Ensure studio cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Open and close the studio as required
- Coordinate with owner about instructor schedules and substitute coverage
- Assist with onboarding and training of new instructors
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture
- Support lesson preparation and studio needs when necessary
- Serve as primary point of contact for families and participants
- Handle registration questions, customer service issues, and follow-ups
- Greet guests and ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Support summer camp, private events, birthday parties, and special programming
- Assist with camp and class planning logistics
- Manage basic administrative tasks (email, phone, scheduling systems)
- Support our marketer with pictures of work and updates to classes or any community outreach efforts
- Represent the studio at community events
- Help cultivate relationships with local schools and businesses
- Promote inclusive, creative programming aligned with the studio’s mission
Required:
- 2+ years experience in management, education, retail, hospitality, or creative industries
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Background in leading, teaching, speaking in front of groups of children or adults
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lead a team with warmth and professionalism
- Comfort working in a creative, sometimes messy environment
Preferred:
- Background in art education or studio arts
- Experience managing children’s programming or camps
- Familiarity with scheduling or registration software (fareharbor)
