We are looking for an entry-level copywriter (0–3 years) to join our growing team. If you know how to shape language to achieve a specific business goal with a specific audience, we want to hear from you. This role is an excellent opportunity to build a future-proof career, learning and applying skills in marketing, digital technology, effective writing, and project management.

You’ll be crafting the voice of our clients and helping them grow their businesses. You will report directly to the Content & AI Strategist and write across a variety of genres and industries.

• Write to Convert: Quickly craft high-ranking blog posts, persuasive landing pages, and ads and emails designed to earn attention and drive action.
• Be a Chameleon: One day you’re writing for a medical innovator; the next, a regional YMCA or a construction firm. You must adopt distinct brand voices—and aim them at specific audiences, with clear purpose—and continue to get better and faster at it.
• Be the Human-in-the-Loop: You will leverage generative AI tools (like Gemini) to accelerate research, brainstorming, and outlining. However, ninety percent of writing is revision. You are responsible for the final product—ensuring its accuracy, clarity, authenticity, and unique human spark.
• Collaborate: Work with our SEO, Paid Ads, and Design teams to ensure you’re telling the same story, and the right one. Seek input from account managers and team leads. Offer your ideas, and be receptive to feedback.
• Research: Investigate competitor landscapes and target personas to understand who we are talking to. Help our team learn about new digital tools and markets.

• You have a portfolio of relevant work. It needn’t be big, but it must demonstrate an awareness of audience, tone, and the elements of good writing.
• If you graduated from college in the past year and don’t have a portfolio, see the alternate writing prompt below.
• You value precision in language, and you catch typos that others miss.
• Curiosity. Gumption. A love of reading, especially in varied genres.
• A degree in liberal arts or social sciences, OR comparable work experience.
• BONUS if you have experience in SEO or with generative AI and LLMs.

If you don’t have writing samples ready, you can complete this mini-challenge instead:

• Situation: You are writing an article/blog post for a local pest control company. You will be submitting your copy directly to them. The target audience is a young family of first-time homeowners who just discovered termites.
• Step 1: Ask an AI to write a Headline and Sub headline for the top of this page, up to three paragraphs for the body copy, and a call-to-action statement and button at the bottom. Paste the raw output into a Google Doc.
• Step 2: Rewrite it. Use the same Google Doc, placing it after the AI text on a new page. Turn the generic AI text into a hook that is empathetic to the homeowners’ state of mind and aware of their needs and values, yet confident in your solution. Assume that there are numerous pest control companies the homeowners might choose from.
  
  You may invent details as needed and format your rewrite as you see fit.
• Submit: Share the link to the Google Doc, and make sure the settings allow us to view it. While the Google Doc should have your name on it, you don’t need any other introductory text. Don’t break the fourth wall and explain what you’ve done, or how.
