As a Respiratory Therapist, you administer therapy modalities as ordered by physicians, operate and monitor mechanical ventilators, perform arterial punctures and blood gas analyses, and respond to code blue situations.

• Administer therapy modalities as ordered.
• Initiate, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators.
• Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis.
• Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas.
• Assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients.
• Verify physician orders before therapy treatment.
• Provide accurate report to oncoming staff at shift end.
• Enter all patient contacts into the appropriate system.
• Perform equipment rounds.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician.
