The Occupational Therapist provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The role involves completing patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and directing most of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.

• Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
• Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status; participate in patient placement and total plan of care development.
• Provide purposeful and skilled interaction care; use procedures and techniques to produce a change consistent with the physician’s plan of care.
• Observe and report patient reaction to treatment and changes in patient condition.
• Communicate pertinent payer needs and requirements to the physician, treatment team, patient, and family in a timely manner.
• Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments and handoffs.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Occupational Therapist license or credential (OT).
• Bachelor’s Degree in occupational therapy or related field.
