Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Provides overall direction, guidance and completion of enterprise server and network infrastructure activity, directing projects and maintenance activities involving internal and external staff. The activity will focus on local plant sites but will work with global IT staff on a regular basis.

• Researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
• Lead projects that accomplish full implementation and utilization of business systems. Develop and execute maintenance plans to keep all systems patched and up to date as needed.
• Perform regular administration and reviews to assure reliable & adequate systems performance, capacity, and complete system backups.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry standards and vendor products and capabilities. Work with Corporate IT groups as needed to coordinate with standards, projects, and change control requirements.
• Educate internal and external IT staff on technologies, cybersecurity, and functionality as needed to support our server and networking solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
• Technical certifications preferred. (CompTIA, ISC, PMI, etc).
• At least 10 years combined experience working with Windows and Linux Server, VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V and experience with PERA networking concepts in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with SAP BASIS, MS 365, Azure, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Intune technologies is big plus.
• Ability to travel locally on a daily basis and internationally on occasion. Work outside of weekdays is required on occasion for scheduled project work and for unscheduled system restoration.
• English language is required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation is required as you will travel to local sites as needed.
