Permanent, Full‑time | Salary: $32.00 to $37.00 per hour
Reporting to the Manager, Housing, the Assistant Manager of Housing Programs supports daily oversight, coordination, and development of Cedar Strong’s housing initiatives—including emergency shelters, transition house, and supportive housing. The role fosters positive relationships with clients, staff, and community partners, ensuring the delivery of trauma‑informed, client‑centered services. This is a non‑union position.
Responsibilities & Duties- Assist the Housing Manager in implementing Cedar Strong’s client‑service strategies, aligning with our trauma‑informed, person‑centered mission and applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Implement action plans, budgets, and training processes across shelter and housing programs as directed by the Housing Manager.
- Support the development of policies and procedures related to the shelter and housing programs.
- Oversee daily operations of the emergency shelter, transition house, and supportive housing programs.
- Ensure trauma‑informed and person‑centered services are prioritized across programs, providing support to staff during client challenges and crises.
- Oversee client intake processes, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and management in line with Cedar Strong’s policies.
- Develop strategies and policies for continuous program evaluation and recommend improvements.
- Produce monthly program reports as required by the Housing Manager and funders.
- Manage team members, providing coaching, feedback, and mentorship to front‑line staff.
- Assist the Housing Manager with recruitment, selection, evaluation, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Lead projects supporting Cedar Strong’s expansion into a new facility—developing policies, procedures, staff training, recruitment, and guest guides.
