The Neuroscience Program at Hope College seeks applicants for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in neuroscience beginning by Fall 2026. Primary teaching responsibilities are in Introduction to Neuroscience (and associated labs) and Functional Neuroanatomy (and associated labs), with the possibility of another course in the applicant's area of specialty. The expected teaching load is four lecture and/or lab courses per semester.

• Statement addressing how you would support two core dimensions of the mission of Hope College: (a) your engagement with Hope's Christian aspirations including how this shapes your teaching and (b) your global and multicultural engagement via teaching, as well as mentoring culturally diverse students
• Statement describing your teaching philosophy, experience, and interests
• Formal teaching evaluations

In addition, candidates must provide contact information for three references. References will be emailed for submission of recommendation letters.

Applicants must hold at least a master’s degree in an appropriate field related to neuroscience courses. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to Hope’s mission, Christian faith, liberal arts, and inclusive excellence, and describe how these commitments shape their teaching, scholarship, and mentorship.
