Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to provide exceptional customer service and support pharmacy operations.

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers and assisting with products and services.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, verify medication accuracy, and report prescription errors.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage inventory and merchandising tasks: keep counters clean, price merchandise, inventory checks, and maintain displays.
• Support pharmacy department on inventory management and compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
• Perform clerical duties and support staff pharmacist, including data entry and prescription filling tasks.
• Assist customers in the OTC aisle, photo services, and Picture Care Plus pick‑up operations.
• Maintain clean and orderly store condition, adhere to company policies, and complete special assignments as assigned.

• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service throughout the store.
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups and companion items.
• Process customer purchases, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• All other duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Store Manager.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state required certification.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager; acquire continuing education credits and stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Minimum six months of retail experience.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
