RequirementsCurrent First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check, and Food Safe Certification. Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention is also required.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills- Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field.
- Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset.
- Must display a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging and aggressive behaviour.
- Must display an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental disability and mental illness.
- Must display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member.
- Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
