The Member Services Representative will work with members to meet financial service needs and suggest new products or services including Loan Interviewer responsibilities. MSR is responsible for delivering the highest level of member service, accurate and efficient processing of member transactions, promoting products and services, resolving member account issues, making modifications to accounts, adding account services, opening new accounts, and performing those functions according to the policies and guidelines of the credit union in a friendly, timely and helpful manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Initiate and lead conversations to identify and assess member needs
  • Give advice to members on consumer lending options, interviews with members and completes loan applications
  • Work with loan applicant to gather necessary information to submit loan to underwriting, including but not limited to gather recent paystubs or other proof of income.
  • After underwriting approval by Lending Management, properly disburses loans and gathers signatures on all required paperwork.
  • Process share deposits, loan payments, and account transfers.
  • Originate, open, and renew all types of member share, share-draft (checking), and all other types of member deposit accounts.
  • Issue and renew certificates of deposit (CD).
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of debit and credit card issues
  • Assist members timely with requests, problems, and complaints. If unable to provide assistance, find the employee who can best help.
  • Complete large currency transaction reports when cash is received or disbursed for more than $10,000.
  • Scan checks received for daily deposit and balance your cash drawer or TCR daily, with minimal errors or outages.
  • Ability to learn financial software and related programs as required by the position.
  • Demonstrated financial analysis ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong written and organizational skills, detail-oriented and a self-starter.
  • Remains familiar with and adheres to Jefferson CU’s policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to Reb B, Reg Z, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Reg CC and Anti-money Laundering. Adheres to all SAFE ACT regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned by Management.
