At Regions, the Bank Operations Reconcilement Specialist is responsible for the daily and weekly reconciliation of payments and transfers.
Primary Responsibilities- Prepares daily and weekly reports to review all incoming transfers
- Ensures all open items are prioritized and reviewed
- Ensures all queries are logged and up to date in the appropriate systems
- Clarifies payment details to ensure appropriate funds allocation
- Notifies appropriate parties of non-receipts/rejections
- Takes corrective action on incorrect payments to reduce potential risk
- Assists in handling escalated issues/problems when necessary
- Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of related banking or operations experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- General knowledge of banking procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Advanced Investigative
Skills:
Skilled in conducting deep-dive analyses to identify and resolve reconcilement discrepancies, with a focus on root cause identification. - Detail-Oriented & Accurate:
Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing financial transactions and reconcilement reports, minimizing errors and ensuring data integrity. - Problem Solving & Critical Thinking:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex reconcilement issues. - Process Improvement Mindset:
Ability to identify inefficiencies and contribute to the enhancement of reconcilement workflows and documentation.
- Training is Monday - Friday 8a-5p in Hoover, AL
- After Training
Hours:
7a-3:30p, 7:30a-4p, or 8a-4:30p (30 Minute lunch)
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range TargetMinimum: $37,750.00 USD
50th Percentile: $44,940.00 USD
