Overview
Thurgood Excavating is hiring a full-time Grader Operator/ Foreman.
Responsibilities- Operate grading equipment such as motor graders, dozers, and skid steers
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance tasks
- Work closely with construction crews to ensure accurate grading and leveling
- Ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance
- Certification as a heavy equipment operator
- Experience in road construction and excavation
- Familiarity with GPS and laser grading equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience as a Grader Operator
- Extensive knowledge of grading and excavation equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
