Position: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties

Summary:

The primary purpose of this position:
As United States Indo-Pacific Command's (USINDOPACOM) primary logistics command and control element for Pacific Air Force's (PACAF) 613th Air Operations Center's Air Mobility Division (613 AOC/AMD), direct, develop, implement, and manage all aspects of logistics recovery functions for PACAF assigned/gained air mobility and tanker aircraft operating off-station worldwide 24 hours a day (7 days a week). In this capacity, AMD Logistics supports USINDOPACOM, United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and the theater Joint Forces Air Component Commander (JFACC)/Commander Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR) during Phase 0 day-to-day operations and contingencies.

In addition, AMD Logistics supports all higher-headquarters, COMPACAF/COMAFFOR steady-state operational missions, off-station exercises and training outside the scope of the air tasking order through 24/7 coverage of assigned and gained airlift and tanker missions. Duties:
* Plans, directs, manages, coordinates, and executes activities of aircraft logistics, including Maintenance, Transportation, and Supply support for recovery of PACAF assigned/gained air mobility weapon systems.
* Establishes and implements processes to determine sources of supply, manpower, transportation, and funding to execute the organization's mission.
* Develops, organizes, and maintains status of personnel, equipment, and supplies deployed in support of aircraft recovery.
* Provides reports, briefings, and metrics reflecting maintenance status of all PACAF assigned and gained air mobility aircraft as directed. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Direct Deposit:

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Travel by military and/or civilian aircraft may be required in performance of duties.
* The employee must be able to work under pressure for varying periods of time, rotating shifts, and overtime as dictated by mission requirements and/or supervisor. Extended shift work may be required during - (cont'd) * (Cont'd) - contingency operations as determined by the supervisor; augmenting the Battle Staff may also be required.
* The employee will be required to work independently to resolve/provide solutions to a myriad of problems requiring aircraft recovery expertise.
* This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. The employee must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available.
* The employee may be required to maintain positional certification commensurate with their applicable series and successfully complete all certification required by Major Command guidance. This may include attending Initial Qualification - (cont'd) * (Cont'd) - Training at the AOC/AMD Formal Training Unit class. Upon completion, the employee will receive a special experience identifier (SEI) whereupon he/she will be required to complete Mission Qualification Training in order to - (cont'd) * (Cont'd) - achieve Combat Mission Ready (CMR) status.

Once CMR, employee is qualified by functional area and proficient to support primary missions focused on assigned duties. Thereafter, the employee will be required to complete AOC - (cont'd) * (Cont'd) - Continuation Training and maintain proficiency in AMD and AOC specific air mobility planning and execution systems. The employee will be skilled in a variety of computer system software programs to assist in creating briefings - (cont'd) * (Cont'd) - and presentations regarding the planning and execution of air mobility missions and related areas.

* Incumbent will be required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Qualifications CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYEMENT: CONTINUED
* Former logistics technician with 15 years of experience in logistics, maintenance, supply, and/or transportation experience working in Air Operations, Command Center-type environment preferred.
