Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin‑Williams stores using box and flat‑bed trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. Drivers are accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner.
Responsibilities- Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently
- Load customer orders properly on the truck
- Ensure appropriate forms are completed
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and timely
- Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints
- Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Perform other store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders
Minimum Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or willing to obtain within five business days of conditional offer
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
- Read and speak English sufficiently for general public interaction and official tasks
- High School diploma or GED
- At least one year experience as a delivery driver
- At least one year experience using material handling equipment
- Previous work experience selling paint and related products
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language (including Spanish)
