Job Description GeneralJob Duties For All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; coordinate hands rapidly and accurately.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigate using maps to locate addresses within the delivery area.
- Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36 °F in cooler to 90 °F and above in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering, driving, and couponing.
- Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
QualificationsYou must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards, and have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area are required. You must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings.
Physical Requirements- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum. Height of work surfaces is between 36" and 48".
- Walking: For short distances and short durations; travel between store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer.
- Sitting: Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) are unloaded with a hand truck; cases up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft are stacked up to 72" high.
- Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (12 lbs each) are carried short distances.
- Pushing: Move trays on dollies (~7.5 lb force).
- Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders (up to five flights) during delivery.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the pizza assembly station for 30–45 seconds repeated continuously.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously up, down, and forward; reach above 72" to turn on/off oven controls; reach down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; reach forward for toppings, cleaning, or answering phones.
- Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift.
- Tools & Equipment: Use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and peel.
- Driving Specific Duties: Deliver product by car and then to door, deliver flyers and door hangers.
