Job Description
The Family Support Worker (FSW) identifies and enhances the strengths of client families with young children under the age of five years old. The purpose is to support parents with child development/parenting education and community referrals to help reduce risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect. The HVS Program implements the Healthy Families America (HFA) model of home visiting, which focuses on relationship building, and highlights family strengths and resiliency.
The Family Support Worker must also demonstrate an active commitment to Catholic Charities Hawaii Mission and strive to incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work.
EDUCATIONAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of college and one (1) year of working with families, and personal disposition to support client participation. May accept high school diploma or GED, and four (4) years working with families.
EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: TB Clearance, CAN Clearance, FBI Clearance, HI State Criminal Check, HI/National Sex Offender Clearance, Driver’s License, Access to Vehicle with Current Valid Registration, Safety Check, and No-Fault Insurance, Driver’s Abstract & Education Verification
COMPENSATION: $20.74 - $23.30
