Warehouse Technician

Reports To:
Property Systems Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for accurately receiving, recording, issuing, and tracking of materials used on job.

  • Communicates regularly with Officers, Managers, & Supervisors about the different divisions and department’s issues.
  • Consistently be on time for work, meetings and appointments and deliver work projects by assigned due dates.
  • Maintain assigned work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Maintain and ensure the safety of all assigned equipment.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Meet productivity goals and quality standards as set by management.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance priorities.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain period inspection records for Fall Protection, Rigging Gear, calibrated equipment.
  • Maintain procedures for proper receipt, inspection, labelling, storage, and distribution of incoming freight (CFM). Include proof of requisitioner notification.
  • Maintain procedures for Paint Receipt Inspection, including deadline to complete.
  • GFM Processes, Procedures and Record Keeping.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure all tasks above successfully occur routinely and without fail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/ TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Basic Computer knowledge, ability to maintain neat, accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Familiarity with DFAR (c) and FAR 52.245-1(f) (iii) (A).
  • Ability to establish and maintain property management system.
  • Good attitude; must be a team player.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience managing the company’s type of materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Shipyard/Industrial Experience valuable.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained.
  • Ability to maintain basic accurate records.
  • Ability to understand written directions and government tracking guidelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
  • Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT

Perform work in heavy industrial/shipyard setting with exposure to heat, cold, and humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gasses, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, and vibration, and involves climbing ladders and stairs, using pneumatic tools, working in cramped quarters, and working with moving machinery. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for this position, including hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety boots with metatarsal guards.

ADDITIONAL

INFORMATION
  • Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United States.
  • This position requires US Citizenship due to clearance required for base access.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites.
  • All candidates must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening and a background check before employment begins.

    Failure to complete any of these steps will result in disqualification.
  • Valid State of Hawaii REAL
    -Compliant Drivers’ License in good standing or a valid U.S. Passport in addition to a valid Hawaii Driver’s License, if you do not have a REAL
