Field Technician (RF / Audio-Visual Systems)

Location:
Onsite – Hawaii

Position Overview

We are seeking a technically strong Field Technician with experience in RF and Audio-Visual (AV) systems to support installations across hotels, hospitals, and commercial facilities throughout Hawaii.

This role requires more than basic cable pulling — the ideal candidate understands system integration, signal flow, electronics troubleshooting, and commissioning of RF and AV infrastructure. The technician will work hands‑on with repeaters, antennas, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and integrated AV communication systems in professional environments.

Military candidates with radio and microwave communications backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission RF and AV systems in commercial environments
  • Support distributed antenna systems (DAS) and repeater installations
  • Install antennas, coax, structured cabling, racks, and mounted equipment
  • Configure and test two‑way radio and communication systems
  • Integrate AV components including speakers, amplifiers, signal processors, and control systems
  • Perform RF testing, signal verification, and system optimization
  • Troubleshoot electronics, low‑voltage wiring, and signal path issues
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and signal flow diagrams
  • Ensure clean rack builds and professional installations in customer‑facing environments
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in AV system installation and/or RF communications systems
  • Understanding of signal flow, low‑voltage systems, and structured cabling
  • Experience installing repeaters, antennas, or DAS infrastructure
  • Hands‑on experience with radio systems (Motorola, Kenwood, Harris or equivalent)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with electronics and communication systems
  • Ability to work onsite full‑time in Hawaii
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial AV integration (hospitality, healthcare, enterprise)
  • Familiarity with RF measurement and test equipment such as:
  • Aeroflex system analyzers
  • Military communications background
  • Experience working in hotels, hospitals, or high‑traffic commercial environments
  • CTS certification or low‑voltage licensing (a plus)
Ideal Candidate

This individual is technically minded and understands how full systems integrate — not just physical installation. They can troubleshoot signal loss, interference, or equipment faults and are comfortable working in polished commercial environments where professionalism matters.
