Engineering - Maintenance Technician JH

Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain residential and commercial buildings located in Downtown Oahu. All candidates must successfully complete a background check, have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. Applicants should possess hands-on experience in maintenance, including basic skills in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance. • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical work, mechanical systems, HVAC, painting/drywall and grounds maintenance.
• Access small spaces measuring 18 inches by 18 inches.
• Ensure that mechanical equipment and systems are functioning properly and perform repairs as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with property managers, vendors, and customers.
• Engage in constant movement, including standing, walking, bending, and stretching throughout shifts.
• Lift, push, and pull weights ranging from 50 to 75 pounds.
• Walk and stand for extended periods and bend frequently during the shift.
• Create and maintain work orders and purchase orders.
• Complete any additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned by the HBM supervisor or property management.

• Must pass a background check.
• Valid driver  license and reliable vehicle required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer service-oriented approach.
• General maintenance experience.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Previous experience in creating and maintaining work orders and purchase orders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.

Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (40 hours a week). Must be available to work 3 Saturdays / 3 months of the year (total of 9 Saturdays annually).

$20.00 per hour.
