Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual to repair and maintain a commercial building in Downtown Oahu. The candidate should excel in customer service and have a keen eye for detail. A valid driver s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work are required. Candidates must pass a background check. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a related field is preferred.

- Key Responsibilities
:- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and HVAC, painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
- Move continuously, stand, walk, bend, and stretch during shifts; lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs up to 75 lbs.
- Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working and fixed as necessary.
- Create and maintain work orders.
- Create and maintain purchase orders.
- Perform any additional maintenance-related duties as required by the HBM supervisor/property management.
- Must pass background check
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver s license and a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- General preventative maintenance experience (basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall)
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Good public relations and communication skills; customer service oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Physical capability: lift, push, pull, carry 50 lbs to 75 lbs; reach overhead; grasp; bend; kneel; crawl; squat; climb stairs, ladders; stand throughout shift
- Willingness to learn and grow
40 hours per week. After probation, schedule is subject to change:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. during training.
$23.00 per hour
