What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join our growing business. As the leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12 and Commercial Real Estate, we provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) and offer competitive pay and benefits. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will solve comfort, building inefficiency and other service-related issues.

How you will do it

Tradesman shall perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by peers and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay. You shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Respond to basic warranty calls.

Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Qualifications

• Required:

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations
• Be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipe fitters.

Pay Range: Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
