Industrial Mechanic Labor​/Assistant

The duties of this position vary, changing from day to day. They perform a variety of duties involving tool use, lifting, carrying and managing equipment and machinery to provide support and aid to the skilled craftspeople on-site.

• Cleaning and preparing work areas
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Assembling and disassembling equipment
• Reading and following electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams and plans
• Assisting skilled craftspeople with their duties
• Operating, maintaining and tending to machinery and heavy equipment (e.g., hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders, winches, rigging, electrical systems, 480V, 120V, 24
  
  VDC, etc.)
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction/maintenance plans

• Experience with general industrial maintenance
• Electrical knowledge
• Ability to read schematics
• Troubleshooting skills
• PLC experience is a plus

This position must also be capable of performing very physical jobs, conducting strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours and in extreme environmental conditions. The lifting duties involved in the job often require lifting and carrying weights in excess of 50 pounds.

Applicant must be able to acquire and maintain an appropriate security clearance (i.e., Base pass to PH) for this position.
