Job Description
- Collaborate with property management to schedule renovations with minimal disruption to tenants.
- Perform renovations, including but not limited to painting, doors, flooring, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and drywall work in vacant units.
- Assemble and install appliances, fixtures, and equipment when necessary.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers as needed for specialized finish work or projects and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, material lists, and project timelines for renovation projects.
- Track materials and labor costs for each renovation project.
- Document work performed, including before-and-after photos and maintenance logs.
- Identify potential issues early and recommend solutions to prevent costly repairs.
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety regulations OSHA, building codes, and company standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in good condition.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, heights, and chemicals.
- Flexible schedule may be required to address urgent repairs or renovations.
- Travel between properties may be necessary.
- Proven experience in property renovation, maintenance, or construction. - Required
- Knowledge of and experience in general building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. - Required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. - Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. Certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to utilize your own hand tools.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work in varying conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Location:
Waikiki, HI
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 hourly
Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm; on call as needed)
Compensation: $18-$18
