License/Certification Requirement- Journeyman or HVAC Certification

A Mechanical Critical Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the complex mechanical systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants. This role requires a strong background in HVAC and other mechanical equipment, along with mission‑critical experience and relevant certifications.
- Proficient operation, maintenance, and repair of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handling units.
- Install, maintain, and repair minor plumbing systems, including pumps, valves, and piping.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of BMS platforms like Niagara Tridium, Siemens, or Johnson Controls for monitoring and controlling environmental systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Proficiency with CMMS software to track and document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- High school diploma or GED or greater.
- 6+ years of work experience, including 3+ years of direct experience in a critical facility operation such as a data center or hospital.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and meet citizenship eligibility.
- Mechanical applicants must have experience with chillers greater than 300 tons, boilers, or similar significant mechanical equipment.
- Journeyman or HVAC Certification.
- EPA 608 Certification.

- Lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Relocates a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet, including scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead repeatedly.
- Good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
- Uses a standard ladder without exceeding weight limits while carrying tools.
- Identifies potential problems and applies general rules to produce logical answers.
- Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
- Sees details up close, within a few feet.
- Listens to and understands spoken information and ideas.
