As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI
, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocols and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Morning
Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30
. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

- 20+ Years of Age
- Valid Drivers License

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting the appropriate public agency resources.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
- Control access through designated checkpoints by monitoring authorized entry, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors and/or employees to proper areas.
- Complete required activity, incident, and patrol reports using written logs and/or electronic systems, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Having customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
