Supervisory Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead security teams within the federal government or senior organizational management level, including training, developing employees, and managing performance.
• Oversee all facets of the Security Program and ensure compliance with personnel security, information security, industrial security, and force protection standards, policies, and regulations.
• Draft and enforce security policy, manage emergency response procedures, and conduct security risk assessments.
• Collaborate with local and federal agencies to coordinate security efforts.
• Act as the principal advisor to the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Executive Director, and senior management on all matters pertaining to security.

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS‑12 level or pay band in the Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private sector.
• In‑depth knowledge and experience in leading security teams, training and developing employees, managing performance, and overseeing security program activities.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and enforcing security policy, managing emergency response procedures, conducting security risk assessments, and collaborating with local and federal agencies.
• Experience ensuring compliance with all relevant security standards, policies, and regulations.
