Sales Associate

Position Summary

A growing company in the food distribution industry is seeking a Sales Associate to manage and expand customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role combines field-based client engagement with strategic account development, offering opportunities to directly influence sales growth.

• Visit existing and potential customers to provide product information, support, and maintain strong business relationships.
• Develop and expand customer networks to maximize sales opportunities.
• Execute sales plans, pricing adjustments, and promotional activities as directed by management.
• Communicate customer needs and market feedback to internal teams to support product and business planning.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and receivables management.
• Submit sales activity reports and participate in quarterly inventory counts.
• Perform additional sales duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of sales experience (food industry experience preferred).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Positive, outgoing, and professional demeaner.
