Ideal candidate:
• Ability to operate computer systems independently.
• One year of quality administrative support.
• Hotel sales/events knowledge.
Shift Pattern:
Varied - AM PM. Open availability required including weekends and holidays; shifts will be dependent on business levels and seniority scheduling.
Pay Rate Scale: $30.00 - $35.00
Sales Incentive:
Hilton offers the best in-market SIP (Short-Term Incentive Plan) to our Sales, Catering & Events teams to reward our employees for their contributions to our company’s financial success. The Plan includes a quarterly component worth 20% of bonus eligible earnings. The quarterly incentive may have multiple individually weighted objectives, meaning multiple opportunities to earn a payout.
What will I be doing?
As a Sales Associate, you would be responsible for assisting in upholding the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Provides Sales and Administrative support to the Director of Sales and the respective Sales Manager.
• Provides professional service to clients and guests in assisting via telephone and electronic communication.
• To respond to small group inquiries, achieve guest satisfaction, and ensure that established revenue goals. (room nights, ave rate, room rental) are achieved or exceeded.
• Assist Sales Managers in different areas of the sales process as needed, including preparing and/or executing site inspections. Act as a liaison for the managers during their absence.
• Assisting on the phones, check requests, Sales Collateral, and amenities. Orders supplies and prepares sales kits. Maintain Trace System – Reconfirm VIP arrivals, check requests, purchase orders/requisitions. Reservation requests and amenity handling.
• Distribution of leads, working with FDC sales processing for groups and running/distributing reports that are required by Area Director of Sales in absence of the Sales Analyst.
• Responds to inquiries with the objective of booking room nights for the Hotel and meeting/exceeding established goals. Qualifies accounts, determines potential for Hotel. Maintains traces in FDC for record keeping.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
• Maintains an open door policy and monitors employee relations.
• Assists the Director of Sales with the Monthly and Annual Forecast.
• Attends various meetings as required.
• Assists the supportive staff with the maintenance of sales files.
• Participates in the sales/catering department reader board program.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director.
